Vanilla Refrigerator Cookies

This recipe booklet is from the 1950's
which makes this recipe very old...
I found this recipe in a recipe booklet that was my mom's.
I remember making these cookies with her and
I thought it was so cool that you could keep the dough in the refrigerator and
slice & bake cookies anytime.
This was way before slice n' bake cookies,
like the kind we know of today, were popular.
I guess you could say that this recipe was
the 'original' slice n' bake cookie.
