Cherry Cranberry Pie Filling

On the Menu Today~
Cherry Cranberry Pie Filling

Cherry Cranberry Pie Filling
is really not difficult at all to make.
The idea of adding cranberries came to me
while I was making cherry pie filling....

I had already canned 8 quarts of "plain" cherry pie filling and
during pear season I had canned pear-cranberry pie filling,
which turned out excellent...
so why not use up my last bag of cranberries and
add it to a batch of cherry pie filling...
so that's exactly what I did...

Cherry Cranberry Pie Filling
turned out fantastic!
The flavor from the cranberries was
subtle enough that it didn't take over and
yet the cranberries added just the right amount of tartness.

Cherry Pie Filling

On the Menu Today~
Cherry Pie Filling

Unbelievably Delicious!

Cherry Pie Filling is really not difficult at all to make and
the taste and texture of homemade cherry pie filling
doesn't even compare to canned...
Don't get me wrong....
I like canned cherry pie filling and
use canned in certain recipes.
Canned cherry pie filling is a fast and
easy alternative to homemade but....

Lime Cherry Berry Scones with Vanilla Lime Glaze

On the Menu Today~
Lime Cherry Berry Scones
with
Vanilla Lime Glaze

This recipe calls for a favorite of ours:
Cherryland's Best Dried Cherry Berry Mix.
It is a blend of dried cherries, cranberries and blueberries.
Cherry Berry Mix can be used in just about everything.

Cherryland's Best,
is a family owned Wisconsin company.
It began making Door County Cherry Juice products in 1944.

Door County is well known as a beautiful vacation spot,
producing delicious wine and fish boils but
Door County is also known for being an excellent
place for growing Montmorency (tart) Cherries.
If at all possible,
plan a "field trip" to Door County in the spring.
There you can see all of the beautiful cherry trees in bloom.
It's a beautiful sight to see on a warm spring day and
the sweet scent of cherry blossoms fills the spring air.......
