Chocolate Chip Cookie and Brownie Bars

Chocolate Chip Cookie and Brownie Bars


This weekend, when the sweet tooth reared its ugly head,
I found this recipe on the back of a box of
Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.
Lucky for us, we had all the ingredients....
including a box of Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme
Brownie Mix with Chocolate Syrup.

a box of Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix,
this recipe couldn't be easier or tastier.


Doesn't get much better than this...
a brownie layer on the bottom and
a chocolate chip cookie layer on the top.

Chocolate Chip Cookie and Brownie Bars

Ingredients
  • 1 (16.75 oz) package Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (18.75 oz) package Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix with Chocolate Syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pouch chocolate syrup
Cooking Directions
  1. Heat oven to 325º Lightly grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together cookie mix, egg and butter until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary. Set aside.
  3. In a second bowl, stir together brownie mix, water, oil, egg and chocolate syrup pouch until fully blended. Spread brownie batter into prepared pan. Spoon cookie dough on top of brownie batter.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until cookie is golden brown.
