Bacon Wrapped Chevre' (Goat Cheese)
Stuffed Chicken Breasts
This is one of our favorite ways to prepare chicken.
Boneless, skinless, chicken breasts are
stuffed with garlic and herb goat cheese,
then wrapped in bacon.....what's not to like!
Did I mention you make these tasty
Chicken Breasts in a slow cooker?
Even better~
Serve along side a bed of wild rice and
your favorite steamed vegetable for a delicious meal.
Use your favorite barbecue sauce for dipping.
Bacon Wrapped Chevre' Stuffed Chicken Breast
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 4 ounces fresh garlic and herb chevre' cheese log
- 12 slices bacon
- 2 teaspoons any seasoning blend of your choice
- drizzle of honey
- favorite barbecue sauce
- Place goat cheese in a small bowl, soften with a fork. Set aside.
- Pound chicken breast to flatten, spread goat cheese over half of the chicken breasts, fold over, repeat with remaining cheese and chicken breasts. Season with seasoning blend.
- Lay 3 slices of bacon on counter top, lay chicken breast on bacon slices, fold the bacon over the chicken. Place wrapped chicken breast, seam side down in crock-pot. Drizzle with honey.
- Cover, turn to low. Cook on low 4 to 5 hours.
