Maple Steel-Cut Oatmeal

Maple Steel-Cut Oatmeal

This wonderful oatmeal is made with steel cut oats and
maple syrup that I purchased at Bear Paw Scout Camp.






Maple Steel-Cut Oatmeal

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups steel-cut oats
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple butter*
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • Maple Butter:
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
Cooking Directions
  1. Make Maple Butter:
  2. Mix butter and maple syrup together with an electric mixer until blended.
  3. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker and stir. Turn slow cooker to low and cook for 6 hours.
  4. Note: Due to temperature variations, this time is not approximate.
  5. My oatmeal was done in less than 6 hours.
