delicious and impressive dessert to serve anytime.
Slow Cooker Banana's Foster
Ingredients
- 5 medium bananas
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup Malibu rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- Vanilla ice cream
- Pound cake, sliced
- Cut bananas in half lengthwise, then width-wise. Layer in the bottom of a 1-1/2 quart slow cooker. With a wire whisk, combine the packed brown sugar, melted butter, liqueur and vanilla extract. Pour over bananas in slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans and coconut over bananas in slow cooker. Cover and cook 1/2 hour longer or until heated through.
- Serve over pound cake and top with ice cream.
