Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread with Eggnog Glaze

with Eggnog Glaze

This bread is delicious and
the eggnog glaze takes it over the top~






Pumpkin Chocolate Bread with Eggnog Glaze

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin, (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons eggnog
Cooking Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350º Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 loaf pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin with a wire whisk.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove bread from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 2 hours.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth enough to drizzle.
  5. Drizzle over Pumpkin Bread.
Drizzle glaze over bread when bread has cooled.
