Bacon Wrapped Cheese Filled Hot Dogs
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs, (bun-length, all beef)
- 4 ounce block pepper-jack cheese, or your favorite cheese
- 16 slices bacon
- 2 teaspoons Montreal seasoning, optional
- 8 hot dog buns, toasted
- Preheat oven to 425º.
- Slice each hot dog lengthwise down the middle, but not all the way through, and not through the ends. You want to make a pocket.
- Slice Pepper-Jack cheese from block into small, long rectangles.
- Fill the pocket with cheese.
- Wrap the hot dog with two slices bacon.
- Secure bacon with toothpicks if necessary. Place wrapped hot dogs on a broiler pan or on a rack set over a baking sheet with sides. Sprinkle with seasoning if using.
- Bake 25-35 minutes or until cheese is melted, bacon is crisp and hot dogs are hot.
- Serve dogs on toasted buns with ketchup, mustard or BBQ sauce.
