Everyone has heard of 'Ants on a Log'
The snack that was first introduced back in the 1950's.
A snack made by spreading cream cheese or
peanut butter on celery and placing raisins on top.
This recipe is a 'new' variation of Ants on a Log...
Ants on a Big Log replaces the celery used to make Ants on a Log
with mini sweet peppers...sound strange?
Don't knock it, until you try it!
Ants on a Big Log are delicious and
good for you too.
There are numerous variations of ants on a log including:
Gnats on a Log (currants)
Ants on Vacation (without ants or no raisins)
Ants on a Slip and Slide (add honey on top of the peanut butter, then add raisins)

Ants on a Big Log
Ingredients
- 6 to 8 mini sweet peppers
- 6 to 8 teaspoons peanut butter, creamy or chunky
- 24 to 32 raisins
- Cut mini sweet peppers in half lengthwise, leaving stems intact. Discard top half of mini peppers or save for another use.
- Remove membranes and seeds from peppers, discard.
- Fill mini sweet peppers with 1 tablespoon peanut butter.
- Place raisins on top of peanut butter.
