inside on a rainy day~

Four Delicious Banana Boat Recipes

All recipes below serve one,
but you can easily double, triple, quadruple.....
...and so on...
You can make as many
Banana Boats as you want!

Serves 1
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
(cook time varies per method)



Banana Boats

Ingredients
  • S'mores Banana Boats:
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons crushed graham crackers
  • Coconut Banana Boats:
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened flaked coconut
  • 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • Six Layer Banana Boats:
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butterscotch chips
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened flaked coconut
  • 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
  • Anna Banana Boats:
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons mini peanut butter cups
  • 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
Cooking Directions
  1. Directions for all Recipes:
  2. With a sharp knife, make a cut along inside curve of banana.
  3. Press ends together slightly to open and to form a pocket.
  4. Fill each banana pocket with chips, marshmallows and any other ingredients using. Press into banana slightly. Wrap banana loosely in a sheet of heavy duty foil.
  5. Place foil wrapped banana's in camp fire, on grill or in oven.
  6. In the Campfire:
  7. Let the flames die down somewhat before adding the foil packets to the hot wood coals.
  8. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until bananas are black and everything is melted and gooey
  9. On the grill:
  10. Place foil packets directly on grill.
  11. Grill packets for 5 to 8 minutes or until bananas are black and everything is melted and gooey.
  12. In the oven:
  13. Heat oven to 375º F
  14. Place foil packets directly onto oven racks.
  15. Bake in oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until bananas are black and everything is melted and gooey.
