Lemon Chip Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 2 cups lemon flavored chips
Cooking Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together sugar, brown sugar, butter and lemon extract with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Add the flour mixture and stir just until combined. Fold in lemon chips. Roll dough into 1 inch balls.
  4. Place on prepared baking sheets and gently press down with your fingers.
  5. Bake 9 to 11 minutes.
  6. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
